  1. WOW! Glad I got to a computer and read your blog! We aren’t perfect beings…we have free will; however, God knows our sin before we know we will commit it and loves us anyway. It feels good to know that we have a forgiving God when we commit our lives to Him. I met a fantastic guy last night. Hotel van driver. His day-job was for the government and he did the van driving as a ministry to talk about God to business people. When we were picked up at PIT, he had a Christian talk show on the radio. I was a little shocked because he so didn’t strike me as that type. He more reminded me of a younger Alan Arkin in a black t-shirt! I even picked up on the radio message and pointed out something to Mom from it.

Once we had checked into our room and settled in, I was attempting to get my FB fix from something larger than a cellphone and found that my son had left my laptop backpack sitting on a bench outside the airport!! I rushed downstairs and the van driver jumped to take me back to the airport. I was upset and trying to find some peace. He turned on a CD that had a song from church I loved and I closed my eyes and just prayed for peace…and to find the bag so my son could stop beating himself up for forgetting everything that night. (He also left his glasses and coat on the plane and had to make two separate trips for each!) I felt calm wash over me…and though the security guard I called (who I think may have been related to Barney Fife) said he saw no laptop on a bench…I saw it sitting right where he left it as we pulled up! Praise GOD! (This was my work laptop.)

On the ride back we started talking about God. It was an incredible conversation. He was studying theology and so knowledgeable and talked about how he had wondered once about what God’s plan was for him…and he knew now it was to spread His word everywhere his jobs took him. It also made me realize I need to study more…and your blog was confirmation of that. :) Thanks for taking the time to write. You are really talented. The English teacher in me is impressed! :D
